Doctoral Program in Management

The Groupe ISCAE Doctoral Program in Management, launched in 2011, is part of the development strategy of Groupe ISCAE and aims to strengthen scientific research in management sciences in Morocco.

An impact-oriented doctoral program, training the next generation of professor-researchers and experts capable of supporting organizational transformation.

Program

Doctoral Training Program

Structured around core (cross-disciplinary) and specialized modules, organized in the form of seminars and thematic workshops.

Transversal modules: common body of knowledge, preliminary introductory module to management research, exchange between doctoral students.
Specialized modules: advanced teaching in each of the main disciplines of management sciences to deepen academic knowledge.
Thematic seminars and workshops: presentations, conferences, doctoral seminars, doctoral courses, and teaching load (tutorials) handled by doctoral students.

Schedule

Doctoral Program Schedule

A curriculum structured over 3 years, combining intensive academic training, study periods abroad, and thesis writing.

1st Year
Transversal and specialized modules: development of the thesis project, methodology seminar, specialized seminars, and research monitoring workshops. The pedagogical aspect is reinforced through a teaching load (tutorials) managed by doctoral students acting as teaching assistants.

2nd Year
Specialized seminars and research monitoring workshops. Doctoral students are encouraged to undertake training periods abroad at academic institutions or companies with which CERGI has established an exchange or cooperation network.

3rd Year
Writing and finalization of the thesis, pre-defense before an internal committee, followed by the final defense before a jury of at least four members, including the thesis supervisor.
Regulations & Charter

Pedagogical Standards & Thesis Charter

The doctoral program is training in and through research, culminating in the defense of research work before a committee.

Preparation Duration
The preparation of the doctorate lasts three years. This duration may be extended by one to three years by the institute director, upon the recommendation of the Doctoral Studies Center director, following the thesis supervisor's advice.
The Thesis Supervisor
Responsible for the thesis, they provide supervision and monitoring for the doctoral student and ensure the quality of the work. They must be a Full Professor or, failing that, an authorized professor (habilitated).
Thesis Charter
The charter defines the mutual commitments of the doctoral student, their thesis supervisor, the CEDOC director, and the research center director: choice of topic, working conditions, supervision, rights, and duties.
Authorization & Defense Committee
Authorization is granted following reviews by three referees, including at least one external reviewer. The committee comprises at least four members, including the thesis supervisor. Admission includes the distinctions: Honorable or Very Honorable.

Admission Process for the CEDOC

Admission to the Doctoral Program in Management is open to candidates holding a Master's level degree (ISCAE, Master in Management, Chartered Accountant, etc.).

01Hold a Master's degree or recognized equivalent (ISCAE, Master in Management, Chartered Accountant...)
02Submit a complete academic application file along with a detailed research proposal
03Cohort limited to a maximum of 25 doctoral students to ensure supervision quality
Admission Process Details
APreselection based on application: analysis of the academic record and research proposal
BWritten exam: evaluation of scientific knowledge (finance, strategy, marketing) and language proficiency
COral interview: discussion concerning the thesis proposal and candidate motivation
