Missions

Service Overview

This service works to ease students' transition into working life through a range of missions, namely:

  • Supporting students in their search for internships and jobs
  • Developing and strengthening relationships with socio-economic partners
  • Organising networking events through career information sessions, mock job interviews and CV-writing workshops
  • Building and enriching the CV database of students and graduates
  • Handling the regular requests and complaints of the various stakeholders
  • Collecting and processing the internship/job offers submitted by recruiters
  • Coordinating and monitoring students' professional projects (PFE, PIP, PIS)

Internship Calendar — Grande École Cycle

Introductory internship
  • The introductory company internship takes place at the end of the academic year and allows the student to face real-life situations, build new relationships and tackle concrete challenges.
  • The student must write an internship report presenting the sector of activity, describing the host company, the tasks carried out and the difficulties encountered. The student will also take on a specific assignment agreed with their supervisor.
Advanced internship
  • The second-year Grande École advanced internship allows the student to work directly with the company on a time-bound assignment, through the analysis and diagnosis of a specific problem within one of the following 3 options:
    • • Audit, Accounting and Management Control
    • • Corporate Finance
    • • Marketing
  • The student is also required to write an internship report presenting the sector of activity, describing the host company, the tasks carried out and the difficulties encountered.
End-of-studies internship (PFE)
  • The programme concludes with an end-of-studies internship, which enables students to find their footing, build their skills and gain the autonomy needed to take on greater responsibilities by the end of their journey.
  • The PFE internship is ideal for "testing" future graduates with a view to recruitment, and easily replaces a trial period.

Introductory internship

The primary aim of the internship is to give the student full immersion in the professional world, introducing them to the concrete realities and inherent demands of the workplace. The specific objectives are as follows:

  • Introduce the student to the professional world
  • Enable the student to develop professional skills such as communication, time management and teamwork
  • Offer the student practical experience that complements their academic training by exposing them to real workplace situations
  • Foster a thorough understanding of professional expectations and standards, as well as ethical values and appropriate behaviour in the professional context
Advanced internship

The objectives of this internship are as follows:

  • Help students become familiar with the professional environment: Offer students concrete immersion in the world of work, allowing them to discover the practices, requirements and standards specific to the professional environment. Foster a thorough understanding of the expectations and behaviours expected in a professional context.
  • Enable students to develop transferable skills such as adaptability, problem-solving and stress management in a professional environment.
  • Develop their analytical thinking in order to set precise objectives and know how to put in place the tools needed to achieve them: Encourage students to analyse the issues and challenges related to their field of study, and to set clear, achievable objectives for their internship.
  • Enable students to develop planning, organisation and project-management skills to achieve their internship objectives.
  • Promote the acquisition of tools and methodologies allowing students to measure and assess their progress towards their objectives.
  • Explore the functions of a company: Offer students the opportunity to explore and understand the various functions and departments of a company, such as human resources management, marketing, finance, logistics, etc.
Work-study internship
  • The work-study internship is organised in the third year (S6).
  • It runs for a maximum of four months from February, on a schedule of 3 days per week in the company and 2 days of training at ISCAE.
  • The aim is to enable students to gain concrete professional experience alongside their academic training.
