Research at
Groupe ISCAE
Scientific research is one of the strategic pillars of Groupe ISCAE, Morocco's first public higher education institution in management, founded in 1971. Alongside academic training, continuing education, and managerial expertise, it occupies a central place in the Group's institutional mission, with the ambition of actively contributing to knowledge production, managerial innovation, and the economic and social development of Morocco and Africa.
Groupe ISCAE has developed over the years a structured research ecosystem grounded in academic excellence, scientific innovation, and engagement with contemporary issues in management, finance, economics, governance, and digital transformation. This dynamic is driven by the Centre d'Études et de Recherche en Gestion (CERGI), a genuine platform for coordinating the institution's scientific activities, bringing together faculty researchers, doctoral students, and national and international academic partners around research projects of high scientific and societal value.
In this perspective, the CERGI pursues several strategic objectives: promoting scientific research, strengthening synergies among researchers, developing academic publications, encouraging applied research, and consolidating Groupe ISCAE's scientific reach at both the national and international levels.
The structuring of research within Groupe ISCAE rests notably on several specialized research laboratories and teams, among which the Management Research Laboratory (LAREM) and the Finance Research Laboratory (LAREF), which develop work across a range of areas including strategic management, marketing, human resources, governance, information systems, corporate finance, financial markets, audit, management control, and sustainable finance.
Groupe ISCAE also pays particular attention to the development of impact-driven research, directly connected to socio-economic challenges and organizational transformations. This orientation is expressed through the establishment of academic and institutional partnerships, the creation of research chairs, and the regular organization of scientific events of national and international scope.
In this regard, Groupe ISCAE organizes numerous international conferences, scientific colloquia, and symposiums bringing together faculty researchers, experts, public decision-makers, professionals, and doctoral students around major contemporary issues in management and economics. These scientific events constitute genuine spaces for reflection, expertise sharing, and knowledge production that foster dialogue between the academic world and the socio-economic sphere.
The colloquia and symposiums organized by Groupe ISCAE focus notably on issues related to digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainable finance, innovation, entrepreneurship, governance, and territorial development. They also strengthen scientific collaborations with partner universities and institutions in Morocco and internationally, thereby contributing to Groupe ISCAE's academic standing.
Pan-African Chair for
Sustainability & Impact Finance
As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and sustainable development, Groupe ISCAE is proud to announce its active participation as a co-founding member of the Pan-African Chair for Sustainability and Impact Finance, a pioneering continental initiative launched by BANK OF AFRICA.
This strategic alliance marks a historic turning point in the collaboration between academia and the financial sector. Groupe ISCAE is honored to co-build this large-scale project alongside five other leading academic and research institutions in Morocco.
Through this partnership, Groupe ISCAE reaffirms its mission to train future African economic leaders in the crucial challenges of decarbonization, corporate social responsibility, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria.

Three strategic axes of action
Within this dynamic, the Groupe ISCAE Doctoriales hold a central place in supporting the next generation of academics and the development of doctoral research. Organized on a regular basis, they provide doctoral students with a structured scientific framework allowing them to present their work, benefit from methodological exchanges with faculty researchers and experts, and develop their scientific research skills. The Doctoriales also constitute a privileged space for academic networking and the dissemination of best practices in research methodology.
Groupe ISCAE also works to strengthen doctoral supervision and the scientific quality of research through the development of Habilitations à Diriger des Recherches (HDR). The HDR represents a major academic milestone that confirms the ability of faculty researchers to supervise doctoral work and lead high-level research programs. This policy contributes to consolidating Groupe ISCAE's academic excellence and strengthening its scientific potential across the various disciplines of management sciences.
The scientific activity of Groupe ISCAE is also reflected in a significant intellectual output through collective works, research papers, academic publications, and scientific journals. Among the institution's principal scientific showcases is the Revue Marocaine des Sciences de Management (RMSM), Groupe ISCAE's academic journal dedicated to the dissemination of research in management, finance, marketing, governance, entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development.
The RMSM plays an essential role in promoting national and international scientific research by encouraging the publication of high-value academic work and fostering interdisciplinary scientific exchanges between Moroccan and international researchers. It thereby contributes to enhancing Groupe ISCAE's scientific visibility and its positioning as a major player in management science research in Morocco and Africa.
Furthermore, Groupe ISCAE's faculty researchers develop sustained scientific output through publications in indexed and recognized national and international academic journals in the fields of management, finance, economics, strategy, marketing, and governance. These publications contribute to Groupe ISCAE's scientific standing and its integration into international research networks. The work of faculty researchers is regularly published in peer-reviewed indexed journals that meet international standards of scientific quality and methodological rigor.
This scientific publication dynamic reflects an institutional commitment to promoting high-level research capable of producing knowledge with strong academic and managerial impact. It also serves to enhance the international visibility of research conducted within Groupe ISCAE and to strengthen collaborations with universities, research centers, and academic institutions around the world.
Publications in indexed journals
Groupe ISCAE's faculty researchers actively contribute to the institution's scientific standing through regular publications in indexed international academic journals. These publications attest to the quality of the scientific output and Groupe ISCAE's integration into international research networks.
They cover a broad range of management science disciplines:
Groupe ISCAE also places particular importance on the development of pedagogical and managerial case studies inspired by Moroccan, African, and international contexts. This orientation aims to strengthen action-based pedagogy and to produce academic materials grounded in the realities of businesses and organizations. The case studies developed by faculty researchers allow for the analysis of concrete issues related to strategy, organizational transformation, innovation, governance, finance, and entrepreneurship.
The development of case studies also constitutes a strategic lever for promoting high-value applied research, fostering rapprochement between academia and socio-economic stakeholders. This approach contributes to enriching Groupe ISCAE's pedagogical practices while highlighting Moroccan and African entrepreneurial, institutional, and managerial experiences within training programs and research work.
The Groupe ISCAE Doctoral School also constitutes a strategic lever in the development of scientific research and research-based training. It supports doctoral students working on issues related to organizational transformation, innovation, artificial intelligence, sustainable finance, governance, entrepreneurship, and African economic development.
Thanks to a human capital composed of permanent faculty researchers, professional experts, and international academic partners, Groupe ISCAE confirms its positioning as a reference institution in management science research. Through its integrated scientific ecosystem, its publications in indexed journals, its case studies, its international conferences, its Doctoriales, its HDR program, and its RMSM scientific journal, Groupe ISCAE affirms its ambition to promote research of excellence — open to the world, value-creating, and in service of sustainable development, innovation, and organizational competitiveness.
